iC-Haus presents newest addition to image sensors
iC-Haus is presenting a new addition to the proven iC-LF product family of linear image sensors.
The newest member, the iC-LFMB, is an optical linear image sensor that meets the high demands of industrial applications. It is aimed at developers who are looking for a high-performance and easy-to-integrate solution.
One of its notable features is the increased photosensitive area of its photo pixels, each measuring 56 µm × 600 µm. This new pixel geometry provides significantly higher contrast and signal yield in low light conditions. The latter also enables shorter measurement times. At the same time, the increased height of the pixels allows larger position tolerances during installation by compensating for lateral offset or slight rotation. This greatly simplifies the installation process without compromising measurement accuracy.
iC-LFMB from iC-Haus is a 64-pixel linear image sensor with a special pixel geometry. The sensor contains 64 active photo pixels measuring 56 µm × 600 µm each. The pixel pitch of 63.5 µm corresponds to a resolution of 400 DPI. The sensor covers a wide spectral range from 400nm to 980nm and is suitable for a range of applications, in particular triangulation.
With a clock frequency of up to 5MHz, it facilitates fast measurement cycles that complete in just 64 clock cycles. The integrated electronics comprise a light-to-voltage converter, a sample-and-hold circuit and a push-pull output amplifier. A start and clock signal simplify operation, while the shutter input allows flexible adjustment of the integration time.
The technological development of iC-LFMB is based on the needs of users who require robust and high-performance sensor solutions for industrial environments. iC-LFMB is characterised by a glitch-free analogue output, thus providing reliable signal processing. At the same time, its compact oBGA package supports space-saving designs.
With its consistently user-oriented design, iC-LFMB sets new standards in sensor technology and is a well suited choice for demanding industrial applications.
